About Lucy

My journey with Chinese medicine began young, often unwell with asthma, and reoccurring colds and flus. My mother took me to a local Chinese doctor who prescribed me herbal medicine, and I was amazed by how quickly I recovered. I was equally fascinated by his ability to know so much about my health through pulse and tongue diagnosis. This experience sparked my curiosity.

Years later, while studying a Bachelor of Naturopathy in my late twenties, my campus was close to Chinatown in Sydney. I often wandered over to the Chinese Herbal Dispensaries during study breaks, and spent a lot of time at the acupuncture teaching clinic, where I received regular treatments over several years. These sessions were profoundly transformative — easing my anxiety, grounding my energy, and leaving me with a deep sense of calm.

This personal experience inspired me to continue my studies, completing a Master’s in Acupuncture to integrate both naturopathic and Chinese medicine approaches. My ongoing studies and exploration of Daoist philosophy continue to deepen my understanding and devotion as a lifelong student.
